A Letter to You

Hi, I'm the person behind Bamboo Ritual.

For twelve years, I worked the kind of career most people would call "stable." Nine to five, sometimes much later. A title, a routine, a life that looked complete from the outside.

But somewhere in those years, I lost the thing I actually wanted — time to slow down, to make something with my own hands, to care about a single detail simply because it mattered to me, not because a deadline demanded it.

So I left.

Bamboo Ritual started as a quiet, slightly frightening decision to build something of my own — rooted in the Song Dynasty art of dian cha, a ceremony that has nothing to do with speed and everything to do with presence. It felt like the opposite of the life I'd been living, which is exactly why I couldn't let it go.

I want to be honest with you: this is a new store.

I'm one person doing the sourcing, the packing, the answering of every message. Some things here are still rough around the edges. A photo might not be perfect. A shipment might take a little longer than you'd like. I'm learning as I go, the same way I'm asking you to slow down and learn dian cha as you go.

If you're willing to take a chance on something this new, I want to make that decision as low-risk as possible. If your ritual set doesn't feel right for any reason, you can return or exchange it — no complicated conditions, no cost to you for trying. Full details are on our Shipping & Returns page. I'd rather you try this without fear than not try it at all.

Thank you for being here this early. Every order right now isn't just a purchase — it's someone choosing to believe in a one-person studio before it's "proven" anything. That means more than I can easily put into words.

I hope Bamboo Ritual becomes a small, steady part of your mornings.
